Kathleen Baird-Murray is a journalist, brand consultant, and fragrance entrepreneur with three decades of experience. She is currently Contributing Beauty and Wellness Editor at British Vogue, where she writes on skincare, fragrance, sustainability, and menopause. She also contributes long-form features to the Financial Times’ How To Spend It (HTSI), interviewing industry icons such as Frédéric Malle, Bobbi Brown, and Dr Barbara Sturm as well as writing wellness-focused pieces.
A former Beauty Director at Porter (Net-A-Porter) and Tatler, Kathleen has held senior editorial roles across Condé Nast titles for over two decades. She is also the creator and host of Keeping Face, a podcast exploring resilience and reinvention with beauty founders including Bobbi Brown, John Legend, Isamaya Ffrench, and Charlotte Mensah amongst others.
As a brand consultant, Kathleen has worked with the likes of Wildsmith Skin, YSL Beauté, and Orveda to shape their storytelling. She is the founder of La Pyae Apothecary, a fragrance house stocked at Liberty London, Hotel Chelsea NYC, and Agora Six Senses Ibiza, which gives her added insight into supporting others with consultancy.
Author of three books - including How to Be Beautiful and Vogue on Ralph Lauren - Kathleen brings editorial authority, creative sensibility, and entrepreneurial insight to every project. Her charity work has raised funds for Myanmar communities through collaborations with beauty and fashion brands.
